Quad Cortex Kemper profiles|Sound demo

Here’s something for you; Kemper profiles from a Neural DSP Quad Cortex! I’ve been glancing at this unit but now I don’t need to buy it, huzzah! Jokes aside, it just struck me as a fun thing to do as ur2funky upload these profiles to the Kemper profiler forum. I still consider getting a Quad Cortex as well, just not right now…

So If you have been living under a rock the Neural DSP Quad Cortex has been a big thing in the guitar world for awhile now. Probably more powered than a Kemper… well, Neural DSP doesn’t keep the lid on as they say “Quad Cortex is the most powerful floor modeler on the planet”. I’m sure they are right, and from what I have heard so far it sounds really good. Check out more through the link provided below.

EVH 5150 MKIII 100 6L6 by ReampZone|Kemper profiles demo

The endeavor of demoing every Kemper profile pack ever made continues with the EVH 5150 MKIII 100 6L6 from ReampZone! So these profiles obviously recreates the sound of the amp that the pack is named after… EVH stands of course for Eddie van Halen, a legendary guitar player that needs no more introduction than that!

This pack has been created with a bunch of cabs and as a nice touch some of the profiles are boosted with superb pedals like Fortin 33 and Grind. All in all this pack is so varied and nice that it covers sparkling clean to raw metal tones!

Thanks for watching – if you wanna more, feel free to support my channel with a sub! A very warm and sincere Thank You all you who already subscribes!!

Keanu 12 & Sugar 16 by ToneJunkie|Kemper profiles demo

Here’s double feature Kemper Rig Showcase video – Keanu 12 and Sugar 16 by ToneJunkie! Well, considering the rate at which ToneJunkie is releasing Kemper profile packs this had to come!

The Keanu 12 seeks to recreate the sound from a Reeves Custom 12 and should have a british sound (read: Marshall). According to ToneJunkie – “more unique high end more reminiscent of a boutique amp than a traditional Marshall”. According to Reeves themselves – “to get a nice “chimey” tone and as the volume is turned up – the power tubes start to breakup…to get that fat British sound at reasonable volume levels”.

The Sugar 16 tries to capture the sound and tone from a PRS Sweet 16 amplifier. The pack is created with two different cab’s and also boost pedals. The amp seems to be out of production so if you want one you might have to search the used market… or get this pack, of course.

Full OC vs Fulltone OCD|Kemper Profiling Amp

So this has been out some time, the Full OC overdrive effect in the Kemper Profiling Amp but I wanted to wait until I had an actuall Fulltone OCD pedal to compare it with. Also the title is slightly misleading as this video is not only comparing the emulated pedal to the real deal, it’s also a sound demo of how the Full OC can sound.

When it comes to the actual part of the Full OC vs Fulltone OCD, I decided to make it like a blind test. That way you can test your own ears and see what you think about it… Don’t forget to check out the video index if you wanna skip to any specific part of the video!

Anyways, thanks for watching and I do hope you liked the video! If you wanna support my channel – subscribe! A Big Fat Thank You to all of You who do!!!

Top 5 2019 Kemper profile packs! (Kemper profiles demo)

Top 5 by Have Guitar!

Another year passed and here is my top 5 list of the packs that I have demoed during 2019! It was not an easy task to pick out only 5 of the 40 something packs that I have had the pleasure of testing. It’s a dirty job but someones gotta do it! I have taken all sorts of things into consideration when chosing the five; number of profiles, tweaking of the original amp, sound, feel, effects, price and so on. In the end it’s my own experience from the packs that counts, how fun was it to play? How inspirational were the tones?

So thanks again for the year that has passed, hope you’ll keep following Have Guitar for 2020 as well! For 2020 I’m planning on doing even more varied videos and I would to do some more practicing and recording of songs. If I will have the time for that, time will tell. I’ve also been thinking on doing some album reviews – starting on the Have Guitar Facebook page but maybe and just maybe that could be something to do in video format as well? We’ll see…

Wishing you all a fantastic 2020 and again thanks for the subs, the views and your comments!

KSR Juno by ReampZone (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

I hope you had a great new years eve – this video is the first one of 2020 and well, I just thought it would be nice to publish one of the first day of the new year! Another thing that is nice – it’s a new pack from ReampZone, yay! Only direct profiles so far but no doubt this will be updated with studio profiles during the coming months.

The KSR webpage doesn’t really more than “Dual channel, 100W or 50W, configurable gain & response guitar amplifier.” about this amp. But considering it’s price, you probably know what you want if you buy one. Anyways, they have some demo videos of the real deal at their webpage so check out the link below if you wanna have a look and listen to it!

Also coming tomorrow – my top five picks of Kemper profile packs that I have demoed during 2019. And that’s it for this description! I hope you like the demo and if you do feel free to support Have Guitar with your subscription! And new fresh 2020-Thanks to all You who do sub!!

FGN Odyssey – Boundary series – Unboxing & short demo

Unboxing by Have Guitar!

Another unboxing video!? You bet! This time it’s a guitar from a brand I have heard so much good about but never had the opportunity to try – FGN (or Fujigen) from Japan. The model is called Odyssey and comes from the Boundary series – and it’s a hardtail strat model.

In this video you’ll see the unboxing and some first time playing demos, I’m pretty sure I play even more sloppy than normal as I’m not used to this guitar. It’s quite different from my other guitars in that the neck is more U-shaped (I generally prefer C-shaped necks) and just feels like a different bird. Sure I will get used to that in due time.

Here’s the spec’s for those of you who are interested in that. A more thorough demo/review will come later, I wanna get to know the guitar good first (but I can tell you the first impression is good).

Construction: Bolt-On
Radius: 250 mm (9.85″)
Frets: 22F Medium (C.F.S)
(Circle Fretting System: Slightly curved frets are mounted so as to ensure that each string and fret intersects at right angles, minimising the contact surface. The result is accurate pitch, cleaner, longer sustain and true harmonics)
Tuners: Gotoh SD91-05M
Body: Japanese Basswood
Scale: 25.5″ (658mm)
Bridge: FGN FB-S05
Neck: Hard Maple w. Soft U-Shape
Controls: Volume, Tone, Coil Tap Mini SW, 5-Way SW
Colors: Black, Antiqe White, Cherry Sunburst, Trans Blue Sunburst
Fingerboard: Maple
Pickups: FGN BH-b, BOS-c, BOS-n – Fujigen design – Made in South Korea
Parts color: Chrome
Strings: D’Addario EXL110 (.010-.046) / Standard E
Finish: Polyester
Weight: Approx. 3.4 kg (7.5 pounds)

Equipment used:
FGN Odyssey (Bondary series, FGN Pickups)
