Butterslax by ur2funky (Free Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig showcase by Have guitar

If you like me wonder what the heck a Butterslax is… well, then there are two answers to that nowadays; either its Bill Kelliher former band or it is Bill Kellihers signature amp from Friedman. Now… if it has any other meaning, do feel free to state that in the comments. Or if you even know what the words Butterslax really means, if anything, go ahead. I have no clue but the Friedman amplifier called Butterslax sure seems to sound GWEAT!!

So, if you happend to have like $3900 (in Europe about 4222 euro’s) you could buy this amp and I’m pretty sure you would not be disappointed, seems to be a terrific amp from what I have heard and read. But then again… that is a lot of money. So if you own a Kemper, well there are some commercial packs out there – I’ve been very tempted to buy CiliLabs Butterslax pack for example. Then you have these great guys who just shared the profiles over Rig Exchange for free.

And that’s where we’re at – start your Rig Manager and goto the Rig Exchange, there you search for “Scott Ritchie” or go to the offical forum on the link provided below. Four free Kemper profiles of the brutally good butterslax at your disposal! Now stop reading and listen to these demo’s – I was blown away and you should be too!

…and hey! If you like this Free Kemper profiles-video please do subscribe to Have Guitar! Your support means everything and it doesn’t cost ya a dime! To all of you allready subing; Thanks!

Boss Katana & Effect Pedals

Boss Katana & Effect Pedals from Have Guitar!

Finally an answer to a question that has been plaguing savvy Internet guitarists since the Boss Katana was released: how does the Katana take pedals? And here is the answer: as any other guitar amplifier. But. If that is not enough for you – ye of doubtful minds – then watch this video.

So yes, in this video I have selected a few gain pedals from my vast collection (read; four out of five pedals) – EHX Green Russian Big Muff (Fuzz) & Soul Food (transparent overdrive), Suhr Riot (Distortion) and the MXR Zakk Wylde Berzerker (Overdrive). They go into the front of the Boss Katana, which is setup with a “sneaky amp”: Clean Twin. And then… noodling is on. Anyways, if you are interesting in a particular pedal here’s a small index for you:

Index:
03:32 – Clean Twin w/o pedals as a reference
03:53 – EHX Green Russian Big Muff
05:16 – MXR Zakk Wylde Berzerker
06:27 – EHX Soul Food
08:33 – Suhr Riot

So, I certainly hope you’ll like this video and if so please do subscribe to Have Guitar for more wonky videos! People who don’t like this video should still subscribe to be able to learn to like my videos and thus making their lifes 101 % better. To each and everyone already sub’ing: Thanks!!!

JM Overdrive 100 by Tone Junkie (Kemper profiles demo)

JM Overdrive 100 by Tone Junkie (Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig Showcase from Have Guitar!

A new Kemper profile pack from Tone Junkie – JM Overdrive 100 – and yes, that is the expensive PRS JMOD 100 John Mayer signature amp! Well, with profiles from a rare amp like that, this was a profile pack I just had to try out. And while I will never ever afford to buy one of those amplifiers, I can now stand proud and say “I tried them profiles from Tone Junkie… and they were good”.

So the JMOD 100 is not a higain dragon but of course it has some sounds that are driven enough. The original amp is hand-built, single channel with a switchable gain stage and an effects loop. This amplifier packs 100 watts and comes equipped with 6L6 power tubes. The profiles of course reflects the sound quality of this unique amp, they are very organic and at the same time delivers a tight punch. Listen to Have Guitars video and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I do hope that you liked this video and if you do – pretty please subscribe to my channel, to support me. More Sub’s open up the possibilities for more varied videos on Have Guitar! To each and every one already subscribing – Thank You, the support is very much appreciated!

Kemper Rig Showcase: Mbritt / 3rd Power 3P CSR Pack

Have Guitar! is back with a new Kemper Rig Showcase – this time I’m happy to be able to present the Mbritt / 3rd Power 3P CSR Pack! It’s a co-operation between Michael Britt and 3rd Power amplification, and yes – it’s another amp manufacturer who now offers Kemper profiles from their own amps. A very nice initiative if you ask for my opinion!

In this rig pack you will get 60 studio profiles created from the original Citizen Gain CSR prototype unit. These Kemper profiles really cover a wide range of tonal possibilities or as Mbritt states in his information sheet “everything from vintage plexi all the way to 800 land”. For myself, I was highly impressed by this pack, from the variation of the profiles to the tonal qualities they bring to the table. So, have a listen to my demo then just head on out and buy this pack already!

Kemper Rig Showcase: Live Ready Sound’s – 6160 Platinum Modded pack

Have Guitar is franticaly excited to present a new Kemper Rig Showcase – Live Ready Sound’s 6160 Platinum Modded pack! Live Ready Sounds offers, as allways, a big number of profiles with many sonic variations. If you can’t find a sound you like in this pack I have no idea where you should look elsewhere… These profiles recreates the sound of a Peavey 5150 Block Letter Head Platinum Modded by Voodoo Amps and they do it in style!

The Peavey 5150 was the signature model for Eddie Van Halen, til he parted ways with Peavey so nowadays this model is called Peavey 6505. This amp is well known for its high gain capabilities but it does not only handle metal but softer blues and rock tones as well. For more details, see the wikipedia-link further down.

Hope you liked the video! If you do please subscribe to Have Guitar and feel free to like, comment and share the video… if you don’t well… why not? Thanks for all the new sub’s – over 400 now, that is just amazing. So thanks again to all new and old subscribers for the support!!!

Pedal Frenzy! Neunaber Immerse Reverberator

Have Guitar! is happy to present to you the stomp of the month, the pedal frenzy of Neunaber Immerse Reverberator! This pedal is designed to give you the best of the reverbs from the Neunaber Expanse and there’s some very nice reverbs coming out from this lil’ box. You will get no less than eight effects here: Wet, Hall, Plate, Spring, two “Shimmers”, wet+echo and wet+detune – where the last one is like a really sweet chrous effect.

(And Yes! I did add stills of the pedal eventhough I said wouldn’t… )

The Neunaber Immerse will give you a host great sounding reverb effects and as seen above you will get a delay and a chorus effect to add to that. The pedal has also tow additional switches; Kill Dry (where you only will hear the wet signal, the reverb so to speak) and Trails (where activated the reverb continues when you turn off the pedal). All in all – good sounding reverbs, a couple of extra effects and many many option to tweak the sound that you are after. Now… hit play on that video!

Hey! If you like the video… please do subscribe to Have Guitar! It’s just a click on the sub-button but every sub helps the channel to grow, which means more chances I will be able to do more guitar releated videos… so I hope you liked it! Thanks to all you who already subscribe!!
