69 Silver Lowman by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Here’s another fine pack from ToneJunkie’s neverending effort to profile every amp in the world: 69 Silver Lowman! These profiles aims to recreate the sound from a 1969 Fender Bassman “drip edge”. (And if you like me don’t know what “drip edge” means; it’s a silver lining around the cabinet of the amp).

So this is obviously a vintage amplifier and according to me the Fender Bassman’s are great amps. Not if you wanna do Meshugga (laughs) but I’d say they can handle most musical styles quite well. From sweet clean tone to screaming classic gain! The profile pack comes with 29 profiles; 25 studio and 4 direct’s.

Also, someone might wonder why I’m using the black Gibson SG when I’m doing the “2 guitars, 1 profile” comparision. Well, I recorded the first part with the Yellow SG before I went on vacation… so when I got back home and started recording again, 8-10 days had passed and not really thinking before acting I just picked up the black SG instead of the yellow one. Forgetful? Me?! Nah…!

That’s it – hope you like the video and support ToneJunkie and buy the pack if you like what you hear! If you wanna support me you don’t have to buy anything, just click the subscribe button. A great many thanks to all you who subscribes!!

Ignite Amps Emissary Setup in your DAW

HowTo by Have Guitar!

This video shows how to setup Ignite Amps Emissary together with Nad IR Impulse Response Loader in your DAW. I use Reaper but if you’re running another DAW I’m pretty sure what I do here is quite easily transposed into your DAW of choise.

The reason I’m doing this video is because I have gotten various questions about how to get Emissary to work. I hope I have covered enough and in a simple way that is easy to understand! Feel free to ask and I will provide an answer if I can. Same thing if you feel I have missed something or if I could have done it better in anyway – I’m always open for constructive critisism but you will have to live with my Swedish accent! 😉

Hope you liked the video and that you got some help out of it! If you feel you wanna support my channel – subscribe! Doesn’t cost you a dime, but you knew that already right? To You who do subscribe – Thank You!!!

Orange Rockerverb Ultimate Kemper Profiles by Gold Lion Audio (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Another ‘premier’ – the new Orange Rockerverb Ultimate Kemper Profile pack from Gold Lion Audio – yes! The Orange amps has a special sound that hits me in the right spot every time and this pack is no different.

Another good thing with this profile pack is that it comes with studio, direct and merged profiles – something for all tastes in other words! Also there has been five different cabs used while creating these profiles which gives a good variation of tones. Might add that these profiles recreates the sound from an Orange Rockerverb 100 head!

There is not much else to say than this is a great pack if you like that orange tone… personally, I love it. So thanks for watching Have Guitar and I do hope you will like this demo. Please support the channel with a subscription! To you who do already – Thanks!!!

Sonic Jet by Live Ready Sound (Kemper Profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Would you like to try a $5000 amp for less than $30? Well, here’s your chance with Live Ready Sound sbrand new Kemper profile pack Sonic Jet! These profiles recreates the sound of a Komet Concorde amplifier, that is not something you will see every day!

Komet amps labels this amp as a “rock and roll monster” and I am inclined to agree! It has a clssic vibe to it and if I may say so these profiles offers an inspirational tone. Might be it is not an coincident that they claim this amplifier has supersonic playability!

So in some of the demos I have used a couple of pedals – LunaStone True Overdrive 1 and the Mooer Ultra Drive MKII – it’s nice to spice your dish up! And I have also given the video a Purple tint by doing some classic Deep Purple riffs. Can you spot them? Let me know in the comments! If you dont – there is a index to those riffs at the end of this description!!

Thanks for watching my channel, I appreciate it and I can just hope You like it. I am just a guitar crazed guy from Sweden, no claims to to be best in any way… But I love playing and this channel is a way for me to myself motivated to (hopefully) evolve my playing. If you support that notion – gimme a subscribtion! To you guys and girls sub’ing to my channel – Thanks! You are truly the crop of the cream!

Golden Plexi by Tone City Audio (Guitar pedal review, test, sound demos)

Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar!

A golden small metal box that brings out the sound from a Marshall Plexi amp, is that possible? With ToneCity Audio’s Golden Plexi it is and that is the subject for this video! It is small, it is cheap and it can make your tones scream like a pig on fire. Well… actually it will sound better than that… I never lit a pig on fire but I do imagine this sounds better…

I must just say this, I kinda ran into a problem when I was trying out the pedal. It sounded fantastic when I used it with a clean tone but as soon as I switched to a profile with some gain it immediately became too much. Too fat, too compressed and just too much in general! I guess I had not done my homework properly on this pedal, seems to be intended to be plugged in to the clean channel of an amplifier.

As I usually use the same guitar for the whole video when it comes to effetc pedals, due to the above fact I used different guitars with different clean profiles instead. You know, trying to create a video with more overview perspective so to speak.

This demo/review is done with a Kemper Profiling Amp, with the stomp box plugged in to the front of the Kemper. The Kemper sounds and reacts very much like a classic (or modern!) tube amp and it takes pedals just a real amp. Just wanna make that clear!

And there we are! I hope you like the video – comments, both positive and negative are welcome – I’m always looking for opinions to make my videos better. Wanna support me? Subscribe to Have Guitar! Likes and sharing the videos are also welcome. A big Thank You goes out to all of you who already subscribe!!!

Sweet Cream by Tone City – overdrive pedal review & sound demos

Demo by Have Guitar!

Intrigued by the sound a fellow Swedish guitar player got out of the Tone City Sweet Cream, I just had to get me some of these pedals. He was actually using the Tone City Sweet Cream together with the Tone City Golden Plexi, a great pair! (I do think it was Rob Chapman who started pairing them up!) However this video is just the Sweet Cream, I’ll publish another one with bort later on.

The Sweet Cream is an overdrive pedal that will serve you a fluid and creamy sound. It can do that lovely just breaking up tone but it can also generate some bite – but not like an aggressive metal tone. As mentioned above it works fine together with other pedals as well.

The pedal is small and very easy to use with only three controls – gain, volume and touch. The touch control isn’t like your normal tone control, it alter the sound in a little more complex way. As for the volume control, well it feels like it does more than just alter the volume, higher settings seems to add more bite and punch to the sound.

So the pedal has a simple and effective design and comes at a very affordable price. According to various sources it is based on the Mad Professor Honey Overdrive, so you can compare the price difference yourself… I do wish I had one of those so I could have made a side by side test but unfortunately I don’t.

I hope you like this demo, there will be a bunch more Tone City pedal reviews coming up here at Have Guitar! Feel free to subscribe to Have Guitar!, your support is needed! And as always; Thank You to all you who already subscribes – much obliged!!!

Fuchs ODS SLX by Pete’s Profiles (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

A new Rig Showcase and this time it’s time for Pete’s Profiles Fuchs ODS SLX! This is a fairly big pack with 60 Kemper profiles that recreates the sound from a Fuchs ODS SLX Concert 75. About the amp itself I don’t know much but the profiles sure sound good. The range from crisp breaking up to almost fat fuzz style tones. No lack of variation here!

Seems to me the Fuchs amps are considered ’boutique’ – which most likely means they are handmade and quite expensive. So what, isn’t the perfect tone worth it? Yes, it is. Anyways, this pack give you an opportunity to try out an amp that you not even see at your local music store and that is a great thing. Well, you know, might not be the real deal but as close as it currently gets.

Black Box MKII by Riot (power supply test / review)

Test / Review by Have Guitar

Need a power supply for your pedals? Short on money? Then the Riot Black Box MKII might be something for you. I got tired of my bulky adaptors that takes up more than one space in the power strip so I went to the local music store to see what they could offer. I had planned to spend some more money but then I got greedy and thought I could try this one out.

Seems like this model is quite new and there is not much info to get about it. Heard a rumour that it might be Harley-Benton who’s making these but that is nothing but a rumour so far. It is made in china and the build of the unit seems more than descent for the price. Metal casing and 10 outs for less than 60 Euros? Great. Have a look at the video for my ‘verdict’.

I certainly hope you will like this video and please do support Have Guitar with your subscription if you do. Just wanna scream Thank You to all you who do subscribe, appreciate it!

Cam Modded Collection by Borg Factory (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Here’s a demo from another Kemper profile pack from Borg Factory – the Cam Modded Collection! This is a high gain pack with profiles taken from a couple of amplifiers that have been modded by a certain very well known amp modder. The amp’s are a Marshall 1976 JMP 100W that has the Ocean Mod, the other one is a Sovtek MIG-50 with the HG Jose mod. All studio profiles!

So, as said this is a pack of high gain stuff – well profiled from the original amps. Don’t take my word for it, listen to the demo and judge for yourself. Might add that while I am writing this the pack is on sale so if you like what you hear, go get it! The profilers are worth the support!

Thanks for watching Have Guitar, hope you liked this demo! A forever ongoing Thank You goes out to all of you who subscribe – your support is what makes it worth to continue making videos!
