Pee Ar Es Archton 100 by Deadlight Studios (Kemper profiles demo)

With that name it might not be totally obvious that this profile pack recreates the sound from a PRS Archon 100 for your Kemper Profiling Amp. Or maybe it’s just me being silly… anyways, this Have Guitar’s demo of this fine pack from Deadlight Studio!

So this Kemper profile pack isn’t that biggest but that doesn’t necessary mean a bad thing, you still get a nice round-up of sounds – from clean to dripping gain. 20 Merged profiles, according to Deadlight Studio a “pretty dark amp” but I don’t know if I would say that about the profiles. (Hint: I wouldn’t say that about these profiles!) More information in the video and of course in the link to Deadlight Studio provided below.

Founders Amp by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

With a mission to profiles every amp in the world, ToneJunkie keeps us buzy with new profile packs released in an almost alarming pace! So, this pack – the Founders Amp profile pack – was brand new when I recorded this video but by now they released a bunch more. This pack is recreating the sound from a PRS Paul’s amp head!

I have Googled around but I haven’t found that much info about the actual amp, but it is a pricey amp that seems to go for around $3000 (€2800). Judging from the profiles, it seems to be a versatile amp though and this pack holds up to ToneJunkies usual high standard. So, don’t expect metal tones but there are some nice high-gain profiles to be found.

In the pack you will get 21 studio profiles and 4 direct profiles, some of them boosted with either a Protein Drive or a Klone. All in all a good pack that I enjoyed demoing!

Top 5 Metal Profile Packs from ReampZone (Kemper profiles demo)

Demo by Have Guitar

Well, this is the first time I do a video like this – I actually went through all the Kemper profile packs from ReampZone that are based on what you could call “metal amplifiers” and picked out my five favourites. And that is what this video is all about!

For each profil pack I have picked out two profiles, that I quickly demonstrate with two very different guitars; my Gibson Les Paul from 1976 – I don’t know what pickups are in this guitar, could be some old Seymour Duncans. And my latest Ibanez RGDIM6FM – equipped with Fishman Fluence Modern active pickups and tuned in D, this is a guitar designed for metal.

Speaking of which – YES, I do have problems playing palm-muted with this Ibanez as there seems to be some noise in the background as I’m doing so. I’m still not sure if it’s my technique lacking or what. Sorrty for that, maybe I just need to practise more. Or dampen the strings more effective as I’ve seen some modern metal players do.

And that is that! I hope you’ll enjoy the video – if you do feel free to support Have Guitar with a subscription! And to you who already do – Thanks!
