Kemper Rig Showcase: Live Ready Profiles – Fried Chicken HBE

Have Guitar ostentatiously presents a new Kemper Rig Showcase – Live Ready Profiles Fried Chicken HBE profile pack! Now that name might give you a hint of what amplifier that has been profiled – it’s the Friedman BE-100 (brown eye!).

(As said in the video) Live Ready Profiles is a relatively new profiler that according to me needs some attention, when I got this pack was pleasantly surprised by both variety and quality of the profiles. So, even if I recently did another Kemper Rig Showcase on Mattfigs BE100, I still felt this had to be done.

On Friedmans webpage it’s described as “a hand-wired, 100-watt, EL34 powered, multi-channel British-style amp. By merely adjusting the gain and master volume controls, the BE100 can produce a variety of tones, seamlessly transitioning from blues to classic rock or hard rock to metal. To say it is British-styled is just the start of describing this inspiring tone machine”.

It’s a tone beast and I think anyone would be happy to own this amp however we can’t all afford it… and that’s what makes the KPA so fantastic!

Kemper Rig Showcase: ReampZones Framus Dragon (revisited!)

Have Guitar is boldly revisiting the dragons den in this (bonus!) Kemper Rig Showcase – ReampZones Framus Dragon rig pack!

ReampZone is about to update their Framous Dragon rig pack and Have Guitar! got a chance of testing out a preview pack of that update. It’s fat, it’s wicked and it screams… viciously. Very mean and very metal, if you ask me – or just have look at this Rig Showcase and judge for yourself.

Just wanted to say; the video starts out a bit dark but it gets better. Had some problems with my low quality light setup but no more! I recieved my new lighting kit today and it works really well so that will most likely cure any problems like this in the future, it’s getting better.

And don’t forget – Fret Nut… Have Guitar!

Kemper Rig Showcase: Mattfigs BE100 (Friedman BE-100)

Have Guitar! is really proud to give you a Kemper rig showcase of Mattfigs BE100 pack – a Kemper profile pack that recreates the sound of an amplifier you won’t see everyday – the Friedman BE100. The Friedman BE-100 is quite expensive so getting this pack from Mattfig could save you some dimes…

This pack will give you both Direct profiles as well as Studio profiles, from clean ones to high gain and the tonal variation between the profiles means you will get big bunch of sounds right at your fingertips.

The original Friedman BE-100 amplifier is a hand-wired, 3-channel 100 W head, used by artists like Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains. It’s made in the USA – have a look at Friedmans web page for more information on this amp!

Guitars used:
ESP Eclipse (Dimarzio Norton)
ESP Phoenix II (Seymour Duncan JB)
Fender Amercian Standard Stratocaster (Shawbucker/Custom 50’s)

Hope you like both the profile pack and the video – if you do, do subscribe to support Have Guitar! Thanks for watching my videos and a Big Thanks to all subscribers – you rock!

Rig Showcase: ReampZones Orange TH30 (Modded)

Have Guitar is proud to present ReampZones Orange TH30 (Modded) profile pack for the Kemper Profiling Amp! This is one rockin’ good profile pack for yer Kemper – it would definitely get a place on my Top-10 rig pack for the KPA! So, as the name suggests this is not a standard Orange TH30, it has been modified to sound even better than the original amp does and that also makes this rig pack unique.

This is a pack that is flexible when it comes to the sounds it can produce, I think it could be used for any genre really. The Orange has a great tone and sustain and even the more high gain profiles have a fantastic string separation. OK, so enough, you got it – I really do dig this rig pack from ReampZone… the pack includes direct profile (23), merged profiles (35) and studio profiles (30).

Guitars used in this Rig Showcase:
Gibson SG Standard 2016 High Performance, Fender Stratocaster American Standard 2014 (Shawbucker) and Harley Benton TE70 Black Paisley (Fender Texas Specials).

Have Guitar is very pleased to present the first Kemper Rig Showcase based on a pack from SinMix: SplanPM Pack! A sweet bunch of Kemper profiles based on a Splawn Pro Mod amplifier – 51 profiles so heavy it should be a crime not get this rig pack. I’m pretty sure SinMix aims this pack for metal players, but hey there’s more to it than metal if I can have my say. Just listen (and feel free to watch it at the same time) to the examples in this video… some really nice sounds right there!

This pack will be tested with the following guitars: Fender American Standard Stratocaster (HSS, with a Shawbucker), Harley Benton TE70 Black Paisley (with Fender Texas Specials) and the ESP Phoenix II. You’ll get both lined and live in the room examples and some recordings over backing tracks to present how these Sinmix profiles sounds in the mix.

Rig Showcase: Top Jimis Stevens 100 Pack

Have Guitar proudly presents a Rig Showcase for Top Jimis Stevens 100 Pack. A rig pack loaded with 20 Studio Profiles for your Kemper Profiling Amp. These profiles recreates the sound of the Friedman SS100, Steve Stevens signature model amp. For my part, I fell for this pack directly when I heard the demo at Top Jimis web page; I just had to get it and so I did! To me these profiles have a really nice character and a great sounding tone in them, but don’t take my word for it – listen to this Rig Showcase right now and make your own opinion.

In this Rig Showcase I will be using four different guitars to demo these profiles: Gibson Les Paul 1976, Gibson Ace Frehley Budokan Les Paul Custom VOS, ESP Phoenix II and the infamous Harley Benton Black Paisley (with Fender Texas Specials pickups). All in all a great set of electric guitars to provide very broad perspective of how these Kemper profiles actually sound. Most, if not all, of the sound examples will be lined recordings so you’ll know what it will sound like if you get this pack (and I think that you should…!).

This is what Friedman themselves write about the original amplifier:
“The SS100 is a 100-watt EL34 powered, two channel plus BOOST, high gain tone machine that is capable of producing many styles of music from blues to classic rock and from heavy rock to metal by simply adjusting the gain and master controls. Likewise the versatile and gorgeous clean channel is great for a whole palette of styles.

You will notice instantly, the tight bottom end and rich harmonically detailed chords and single notes. This amp cleans up remarkably well with the guitar’s volume control, even with the amp on higher gain settings. ”

And of course, I will do just that – rolling off the volume to show you how Top Jimis profiles handles that through the Kemper.
