Gibson Government Series I Explorer – Test / Review

Guitar review by Have Guitar

So… back with Gibson Government Series I and this time it’s of course the Explorer! Again, a fat Thank You to Klas – without him these nice guitars would never had passed through my hands! The Government Series is a limited run that seems to have gone unnoticed even by some guitar connoisseurs that I know, so story in short; the US government siezed some materials from Gibson but the company later got back that and well, they built the Government Series I & II with that wood. Cool story!

So, the specifications of the Explorer is in the video, I think I actually found more on the Explorer than I did on the SG. I believe that while Gibson built 300 SG’s they only built 100 of the Explorers… and that is that. Now watch the video instead, index can be found below. Thanks for watching Have Guitar and I hope you’ll like this video. A big thunderous Thanks goes out to all of you who support me by subscribing!

Reading tip: Seth Lover – the inventor of the Humbucker guitar pickup

Just published on Reverb, an article anyone interested in guitars should read. The interview hasn’t been published before and well, according to me, this guy has some interesting thing to say about the iconic humbucker that he invented!
