Vibe Queen by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Here’s a demo of the Vibe Queen Kemper profile pack from ToneJunkie! This profile pack recreates the sound from a Fender Vibro King amplifier and it contains both studio and direct profiles for your Kemper Profiling Amp.

As always with profiles from ToneJunkie you can expect some well profiled sounds from an amp that is quite capable. You won’t get any chuggy metal here but there’s dirty driven tones included of course! If you wanna get into the more heavy side of life you’ll need to drive it up with an overdrive or similar. I should mention that some of the profiles are boosted with a Klone overdrive pedal.

I do hope you will like this demo, I tried making an overview of what this pack has to offer. If you wanna support my channel a subscription is of course more than welcome… (see the link below!). A Big Thanks to all you who subscribe already!!

Dry Martini by Tone City (Review / Demo / Showcase)

Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar!

The American writer E.B. White said about the Dry martini; “the elixir of quietude”, which of course is something you couldn’t (or maybe shouldn’t) say about an overdrive pedal like the Tone City Dry Martini… (yes, he was talking about the drink).

So this is a demo/review of the Tone City micro pedal Dry Martini. This is a clone of the Fulltone OCD pedal and features about the same controls as the OCD; Volume, Tone, Gain and a high/low gain switch. The gain is best described as low to medium with a punchy character (think a tube amplifier at its ‘sweet spot’). It should be noted that the latest version of the Fulltone OCD has some features that the Dry Martini hasn’t; like the ‘Enhanced bypass’ for example.

This video is all about the Tone City Dry Martini on its own, no comparison with the Fulltone OCD. If not already out, I will soon release a “blind test” video where you can test if you can spot which is the original pedal (or which of them you would prefer). I’ve used one clean sound and one slightly overdriven sound for this review, should be noted that due to a malfunction the sound in the overdriven sound part of the video is captured by room microphones.

Hope you like the video – support Have Guitar! with a subscription! I’m very grateful to all you who already do, Thanks!

Dummble Pack by Top Jimi (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Here’s a demo of the Dummble Pack from Top Jimi – it’s a great pack of tones here according to my opinion and taste! It’s a big pack with over 100 profiles and it’s not very expensive.

So, Dummble you say? Seems there’s a lot of various Dumble sounds floating around. And I guess that isn’t surprising considering a used Dumble amp can cost way over 100 000 USD!! So these profiles comes from a Ceriatone Overtone Special (100 watts), and that should be a ‘clone’ of an original Dumble amp (and a lot cheaper by that!).

Clone may sound a bit degrading, I don’t really care because it sounds great! Rich tones, great gain sound and various styles of sound is what this pack from Top Jimi will get ya and I hope my demo shows that. Me? I really digg this pack, it is a keeper for sure!!

This profile pack contains both studio as well as merged profiles, profiled with three different speakers; 12″ Celestion Vintage 30, 1970 12″ Celestion 25W Greenback and 1967 12″ Celestion 20W Greenback.

Fulltone OCD Overdrive (Stomp pedal test)

Fulltone OCD Overdrive (Stomp pedal test)
Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar

It’s time to take a closer look at the Fulltone OCD, is there any guitarist that haven’t heard about this pedal? It should “replicates the dynamics and harmonics of a fully-wound tube amplifier with its typical output stage distortion” and I’ve seen it described both as an overdrive and a distortion effect. I guess it has the characteristics of both.

I guess the Fulltone OCD doesn’t need any closer introduction, it’s a classic pedal and for more info check out the link to Fulltone’s webpage provided below. I’ll add a link to a fantastic video from ToneJunkie that compares all the different versions of the OCD, go see it – it’s really worth the time watching it.
