Redwood City Fire by Live Ready Sound (Kemper profiles demo)

Redwood City Fire by Live Ready Sound (Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig showcase by Have guitar

Here’s a Rig Showcase on the full Redwood City Fire profile pack from Live Ready Sound. I have demo’d the FX addon (by me!) previously but as said here in the full pack demo. The Redwood City Fire is recreating the sound of a Panama Fuego amplifier, and in this Kemper profile pack you will get 56 studio profiles plus the FX addon (10 profiles). All in all a very nice acquaintance with its own character and style! Just great profiles, as LRS states on their website.

Thanks for watching Have Guitar! If you like my videos please do subscribe to make the world a better place! As always a Big Thanks goes out to all of you who already do subscribe!

JTM50 1966 Black Flag by Burns (Free Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig showcase by Have guitar

Free stuff is nice but sometimes it can be really hard to dig out the good stuff, especially in a place like Rig Exchange – spend 5 seconds with each profile there and you have 992 hours in front of you!

Yeah, well – that ain’t realistic and that’s how I came up with idea so showcase some of the free Kemper profiles that I like – maybe you will too! When I find one I’ll make a video on it if I like it. This time it’s another Marshall JTM50 from 1966 and this is the second time I feature that model on this feature. However, there’s a big difference between these profiles even if they come from the same amp model and that is what make’s them interesting to me!

There are eight of these nice profiles available and in this video I’ll demo four them – leaving something for you to discover for yourself… So, again – a big thanks to David for sharing these fine profiles with us! And hey. if you like this video, why not subscribe to Have Guitar! Your support is more important than you might think and every sub counts. To all of you already subscribing – Thank You!!!

To find these Kemper profiles; start up your Rig Manager, go to Rig Exchange and search for “Burns” and you will get all the profiles listed and ready to play! Have fun!

New Spring Reverb FX in the Kemper Profiling Amp (Beta preview)

New Spring Reverb FX in the Kemper Profiling Amp

Yup, that’s right if anyone missed the news… that isn’t that new really. But here’s me trying out the new Spring Reverb effect in the Kemper, based on the Fender Reverb Tank from 1963. And I must say it sounds great!

Should point out that this is a beta, a preview – I forgot to mention that in the video. So this is Profiler Operating System 5.6.2 Spring Reverb Preview that requires Rig Manager’s 2.1.25 revision. Beta’s are installed at your own perill…

Another interesting thing is that you can place this reverb anywhere in the FX chain; put it infront of the amp for a gritty, distorted sound or place it behind the amp for a clean stereo reverb.

And if you read this far – don’t miss out on the Mattfig Giveaway, I have three packs of Mattfig’s Trust Pack (four different packs of Kemper profiles) to giveaway. Today (28/6-2018) is the last day to join so if you wanna get a chance to win some free commercial profiles check out the link to that video below.

Alright, don’t forget to subscribe and like the video if you liked it! If you didn’t like it please send a letter to president Trump and let him know about it. To each and everyone of you who are subscribing – Thank You!

Butterslax by ur2funky (Free Kemper profiles demo)

Butterslax by ur2funky (Free Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig showcase by Have guitar

If you like me wonder what the heck a Butterslax is… well, then there are two answers to that nowadays; either its Bill Kelliher former band or it is Bill Kellihers signature amp from Friedman. Now… if it has any other meaning, do feel free to state that in the comments. Or if you even know what the words Butterslax really means, if anything, go ahead. I have no clue but the Friedman amplifier called Butterslax sure seems to sound GWEAT!!

So, if you happend to have like $3900 (in Europe about 4222 euro’s) you could buy this amp and I’m pretty sure you would not be disappointed, seems to be a terrific amp from what I have heard and read. But then again… that is a lot of money. So if you own a Kemper, well there are some commercial packs out there – I’ve been very tempted to buy CiliLabs Butterslax pack for example. Then you have these great guys who just shared the profiles over Rig Exchange for free.

And that’s where we’re at – start your Rig Manager and goto the Rig Exchange, there you search for “Scott Ritchie” or go to the offical forum on the link provided below. Four free Kemper profiles of the brutally good butterslax at your disposal! Now stop reading and listen to these demo’s – I was blown away and you should be too!

…and hey! If you like this Free Kemper profiles-video please do subscribe to Have Guitar! Your support means everything and it doesn’t cost ya a dime! To all of you allready subing; Thanks!

Redwood City Fire by Live Ready Sound – FX addon by Have Guitar

So, I did some tweaking to some profiles from Live Ready Sounds Redwood City Fire Kemper profile pack and well, they are now officially added to the profile pack as a FX addon. Thought I might might as well do a lil’ video on this and here it is.

These profiles recreates the sound of a Panama Amps Fuego through many speaker cabinets and mics, I have done a Rig Showcase on this pack earlier if you wanna go back and have a look at that.

Boss Katana & Effect Pedals

Boss Katana & Effect Pedals from Have Guitar!

Finally an answer to a question that has been plaguing savvy Internet guitarists since the Boss Katana was released: how does the Katana take pedals? And here is the answer: as any other guitar amplifier. But. If that is not enough for you – ye of doubtful minds – then watch this video.

So yes, in this video I have selected a few gain pedals from my vast collection (read; four out of five pedals) – EHX Green Russian Big Muff (Fuzz) & Soul Food (transparent overdrive), Suhr Riot (Distortion) and the MXR Zakk Wylde Berzerker (Overdrive). They go into the front of the Boss Katana, which is setup with a “sneaky amp”: Clean Twin. And then… noodling is on. Anyways, if you are interesting in a particular pedal here’s a small index for you:

Index:
03:32 – Clean Twin w/o pedals as a reference
03:53 – EHX Green Russian Big Muff
05:16 – MXR Zakk Wylde Berzerker
06:27 – EHX Soul Food
08:33 – Suhr Riot

So, I certainly hope you’ll like this video and if so please do subscribe to Have Guitar for more wonky videos! People who don’t like this video should still subscribe to be able to learn to like my videos and thus making their lifes 101 % better. To each and everyone already sub’ing: Thanks!!!
