It’s not every day ToneJunkie releases a pack based on a Mesa Boogie amp, but this is it! The Trident Kemper profile pack recreates the sound from a Mesa Boogie Stiletto Trident and in ToneJunkies own words – “If you are a fan of British EL34 amps but enjoy want a less vintage and more hi fi flavor and tightness…this pack is right for you!!!”
The pack contains 18 studio and 11 direct profiles, not the largest pack but sometimes that is good thing, you know… decreases the risk of decision agony! The profile pack has good variety but don’t expect any metal style tones out of the box. The original amp is said bring both Marshall and Mesa tones and that is pretty much how I experienced these profiles.

Someone mentioned Katzbach as the no 1 Marshall profiler and of course I had to check them out! So this is the first time Katzbach is featured at Have Guitar and let’s start it off with the JCM800 2203 1995 Lrd Red-pack!
So this is a limited edition of a Marshall JCM800 2203 – there were 200 of them made and the color of choise is red, just as the name suggests! EL34 tubes and 100 watt… that is the info I have and it seems like a good Marshall tone right there. However, note that the profiles are kind of meek in this pack, you will not get a fist full of Marshall energy from this pack. But of course if you want that kind of tone maybe you should look for another pack…
I liked the pack – let me know what you think about it in the comments! And if you wanna see more from Have Guitar – subscribe! That support will be very much appreciated! To all you who already do – Thank You!!!
