Ignite Amps Emissary Setup in your DAW

HowTo by Have Guitar!

This video shows how to setup Ignite Amps Emissary together with Nad IR Impulse Response Loader in your DAW. I use Reaper but if you’re running another DAW I’m pretty sure what I do here is quite easily transposed into your DAW of choise.

The reason I’m doing this video is because I have gotten various questions about how to get Emissary to work. I hope I have covered enough and in a simple way that is easy to understand! Feel free to ask and I will provide an answer if I can. Same thing if you feel I have missed something or if I could have done it better in anyway – I’m always open for constructive critisism but you will have to live with my Swedish accent! 😉

Hope you liked the video and that you got some help out of it! If you feel you wanna support my channel – subscribe! Doesn’t cost you a dime, but you knew that already right? To You who do subscribe – Thank You!!!

Orange Rockerverb Ultimate Kemper Profiles by Gold Lion Audio (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Another ‘premier’ – the new Orange Rockerverb Ultimate Kemper Profile pack from Gold Lion Audio – yes! The Orange amps has a special sound that hits me in the right spot every time and this pack is no different.

Another good thing with this profile pack is that it comes with studio, direct and merged profiles – something for all tastes in other words! Also there has been five different cabs used while creating these profiles which gives a good variation of tones. Might add that these profiles recreates the sound from an Orange Rockerverb 100 head!

There is not much else to say than this is a great pack if you like that orange tone… personally, I love it. So thanks for watching Have Guitar and I do hope you will like this demo. Please support the channel with a subscription! To you who do already – Thanks!!!

Sonic Jet by Live Ready Sound (Kemper Profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Would you like to try a $5000 amp for less than $30? Well, here’s your chance with Live Ready Sound sbrand new Kemper profile pack Sonic Jet! These profiles recreates the sound of a Komet Concorde amplifier, that is not something you will see every day!

Komet amps labels this amp as a “rock and roll monster” and I am inclined to agree! It has a clssic vibe to it and if I may say so these profiles offers an inspirational tone. Might be it is not an coincident that they claim this amplifier has supersonic playability!

So in some of the demos I have used a couple of pedals – LunaStone True Overdrive 1 and the Mooer Ultra Drive MKII – it’s nice to spice your dish up! And I have also given the video a Purple tint by doing some classic Deep Purple riffs. Can you spot them? Let me know in the comments! If you dont – there is a index to those riffs at the end of this description!!

Thanks for watching my channel, I appreciate it and I can just hope You like it. I am just a guitar crazed guy from Sweden, no claims to to be best in any way… But I love playing and this channel is a way for me to myself motivated to (hopefully) evolve my playing. If you support that notion – gimme a subscribtion! To you guys and girls sub’ing to my channel – Thanks! You are truly the crop of the cream!

Sweet Cream by Tone City – overdrive pedal review & sound demos

Demo by Have Guitar!

Intrigued by the sound a fellow Swedish guitar player got out of the Tone City Sweet Cream, I just had to get me some of these pedals. He was actually using the Tone City Sweet Cream together with the Tone City Golden Plexi, a great pair! (I do think it was Rob Chapman who started pairing them up!) However this video is just the Sweet Cream, I’ll publish another one with bort later on.

The Sweet Cream is an overdrive pedal that will serve you a fluid and creamy sound. It can do that lovely just breaking up tone but it can also generate some bite – but not like an aggressive metal tone. As mentioned above it works fine together with other pedals as well.

The pedal is small and very easy to use with only three controls – gain, volume and touch. The touch control isn’t like your normal tone control, it alter the sound in a little more complex way. As for the volume control, well it feels like it does more than just alter the volume, higher settings seems to add more bite and punch to the sound.

So the pedal has a simple and effective design and comes at a very affordable price. According to various sources it is based on the Mad Professor Honey Overdrive, so you can compare the price difference yourself… I do wish I had one of those so I could have made a side by side test but unfortunately I don’t.

I hope you like this demo, there will be a bunch more Tone City pedal reviews coming up here at Have Guitar! Feel free to subscribe to Have Guitar!, your support is needed! And as always; Thank You to all you who already subscribes – much obliged!!!

Tony Iommi (TI) Boost by Laney Black Country Customs (pedal test)

Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar!

Here’s a pedal I have been looking forward to trying out, the Laney Black Country Customs TI Boost – where TI stand for Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath! So, this is a not a regular dist box but rather what is called a clean boost. It’s kinda a replica of what Iommi used in the early days of Sabbath but with some extra controls for gain, treble and base.

Just wanna say that I have used a slightly different approach in how I recorded this video… very much just improvising and noodling around as I try different settings on the pedal, I do hope it comes out OK. The editing of this video was cursed somehow… whatever could go wrong, went wrong! To a degree where I almost went ahead re-recorded it all over again. Just saying. Any comments – especially constructive critisim – is very welcome, I’m still experimenting on how to provide a nice overview of a pedal.

Anyways, I do hope you’ll like the video! And as in every video’s description I would like to say Thanks to you who subscribe, your support is awesome!

A note about the gain rating below; on the Kemper Profiling Amp each profile has a gain rating from 0 to 10. So Clean to Low gain = 0 – 3, Crunch = 4 – 6 and Hi gain = 7 – 10.

Dark Matter by TC Electronics (Distortion pedal test / review)

Dark Matter by TC Electronics (Distortion pedal test / review)
Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar

Here’s another Pedal Frenzy where I take a look at TC Electronics Dark Matter, a distortion pedal for electric guitar. So, I didn’t really know much about this stomp when I ordered it from Thomann. I know the brand TC Electronics, since the mid 80’s but back then my impression was that it was a high-end quite expensive brand. Or was it me being poorer back then? I don’t really know but this pedal is not expensive!

I can say already that I was pleased by the sounds this pedal can pull off, the sound certainly is not cheap. So in this video I test it out with a bunch different Kemper profiles, trying to cover a wide range of amp styles and sounds to see how the Dark Matter affects the sound.

Yeah, it’s an epic video – considering it’s lenght! Is that a bad thing? I don’t know, I just prefer content over 2 minute videos. But… for your pleasure I have put in an index to the video below so you can jump to the part you wanna see.

Index:
02:09 – Live Ready Sound Tweed profile, low gain to crunch (gain 2/10)
06:33 – ReamZone Framus Dragon profile, clean sound with some delay (gain 0/10)
11:59 – BM Profiles Friedman BE 100 profile, quite high gain (gain 6/10)
16:04 – Pete’s Profiles Wizard profile, crunch sound (gain 3/10)
20:09 – ToneJunkie Matchless profile, clean sound (gain 0/10)
25:37 – Conclusion along with some rambling

TMS RKR30 by TMS Profiles (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Here’s a video that features TMS Profiles new Kemper profile pack – RKR30 – recreating the sound of an Orange Rocker 30 head. This pack contain 40 Merged profiles that according to my opinion really captures that Orange sound – fat and creamy just like you should like it! And… I’ll throw in this video as a “bonus” as it’s also a giveaway! Watch the video to see how to enter – a very Big Thank You to TMS Profiles for letting me do this giveaway.

Deadline for the giveaway:
April 27th 2019, 23:59

Throwing in a footnote here that this is the first video that I have created/edited in Davinci Resolve, a video editing software that is available for free in a light version. It should not make any difference for you as a viewer and the reason for me changing software is that I am tired of seeing the Magix Movie Studio Platinum series not improving with the new versions. And also that I don’t wanna pay for those not so good new versions…

Thanks for watching Have Guitar and the support from you who subscribe is something which I am very grateful for! If you wanna support my little independent channel do subscribe, it’s free! 😉

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Here’s a new Rig Showcase and today I’m proud to present/demo a new profiler: Borg Factory Profiles! Nice? Ubernice! In this video I’ll demo their SOLO 100 Kemper profile pack – a pack that recreates the sound of a Soldana SLO 100. And it does it well too…

V90 Mesa MK V by TMS Profiles + Giveaway! (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase and Giveaway by Have Guitar!

Time for another rig showcase and this time it’s the brand new profile pack from TMS Profiles – V90 Mesa MK V! Now this was a pleasure to try out, loads and loads of great sound profiles… and the pack is cheap too! And to add to that, if you watch this video you could have a chance of winning a copy of this profile pack for free! That’s right, TMS Profiles was so kind that they let me giveaway 5 copies of this pack! Ain’t that grand?! So the instructions of getting into the giveaway comes at the end of video.

DEADLINE for this giveaway: 21st of March 2019, 23:59!
(The Winners will be presented in a video a couple of days after the DL!)

The V90 MK V pack comes loaded with 99 merged profiles for your Kemper profiling amp – some of them has effects included from the start and do believe all of them has inactivated effects included. A tip, that I also mention in the video, is to lower the Noise Gate – seems ALL the profiles has quite a high setting and lowering the NG helps to make the tone feel a bit more dynamic in my opinion.

So that is it, I do hope you like the video AND the giveaway – once again thanks to TMS profiles for being so generous!! Also, feel free to sunscribe to Have Guitar to support my channel, it will be much appreciated. And as always to all you subscribing – thanks for Your support!
