Brown Eyed Girl by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Brown Eyed Girl by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Now wait a second, isn’t that a song by Van Morrison?! Well, yes it is… but it’s also ToneJunkie’s name of this profile pack for your Kemper… that recreates the sound of a Friedman BE-100. And yes, BE stands for Brown Eye.

So, this is not the first time I demo a profile pack created from that amplifier but like I say in the video, take the same amp and two different profilers and it will still differ in sound! The BE-100 is very competent amp, if you wanna read more about it just follow the link provided further down.

This pack definitely has the ToneJunkie tone in it, well balanced and varied profiles. Might be this is a less “heavy take” than some other profile packs of the BE100 and that really proves what I have already stated above… I hope you like this demo, feel free to support me with a subscription! To you subscribers out there, wherever you are – Thanks!

Satch 410 Pack by Top Jimi Profiles (Kemper profiles demo)

Satch 410 Pack by Top Jimi Profiles (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Welcome to another Kemper Rig Showcase! By popular demand I give you a demo of Top Jimi’s Satch 410 Pack – a pack that recreates the sound of a Marshall JVM410HJS! What’s that?! Well, it the Joe Satriani signature head (100 watts)!

I don’t think Satriani needs an introduction but if you don’t know, take a look at his official webpage – link provided below. So obviously this is a collaboration between Satriani and Marshall and here’s a quote from Top Jimi’s webpage: “…the JVM410HJS takes the regular JVM410 to new sonic heights. The channels are each re-voiced to Joe’s specifications. With 3 distinct channels instead of 4, the 4th channel is a copy of channel 3 (overdrive) to allow two different overdrive settings for live use”.

So, that’s it now watch the video! I hope you like it and please do support me by subscribing to Have Guitar… I’m just a guy who loves guitars in general and you support means all! And as always – Thank You, to all of you subscribing already, I bow for you!

Rob Maramonte (November 2018) by ToneCrate (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Disclaimer: October or November? Slightly confusing here, but Rob is listed as the October featured artist and the pack arrived early November. So from now on I will list it as when it arrives = this IS the November pack. For me at least.

Time for a new surprize pack from ToneCrate and this month its tweaked by Rob Maramonte from The Zenith Passage. It’s 9 really heavy profiles (and one clean!) and so far this is my favourite from ToneCrate!

So, the amps included here is Peavey Triple X, EVH 5150 III, Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier, Peavey 5150, Marshall JCM 800 and Bogner Uberschall. As said, most of the sounds are hard and heavy except one clean tone. It’s good…

Hope you like the demo – hit that sub-button to support Have Guitar! A never-ending Thanks goes out to all you who sub!!

V30 The Countess MKii by Victory Amps / Rabea Massaad (Kemper profiles demo)

V30 The Countess MKii by Victory Amps / Rabea Massaad (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Time for the second part of this “mini series” of he Rig Showcase where I demo the official Kemper profile pack from Victory amps! It is time to have a listen to the Victory V30 The countess MKii! As I have said before I bow to Victory amps for this initiative and that they brought in Rabea Massaad – that’ll surely attract attention from players who like his style.

So, the V30 The Countess was developed with Guthrie Govan has some special feature that the original V30 did not have. Most of those are irrelevant when you are running the Kemper profile but if you want more info see the links below. Once again, these profiles are really nothing close to metal so if you’re looking for that – search elsewhere. Still the profiles has gain enough and a smooth nice character – for me most of them needed some extra tweaking to suit my preferences.

As always, thanks for watching Have Guitar – a loud shoutout to all you who support me by subscribing, Thanks!! If you don’t – feel free to support me by a sub, together we stand strong… right?

God of War by Live Ready Sound (Kemper profiles demo)

God of War by Live Ready Sound (KRS Ares 50)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Time for a closer look at the God of War pack from Live Ready Sound. This is a pack that is based on a KRS Ares 50 amplifier and it brings a long 95 Kemper profiles (8 direct profiles), of course ranging from clear to gain dripping sounds. I’m pretty sure the pack will grow over time and there will surely be at least a couple more updates from Live Ready Sound.

The KRS Ares 50 seems to be a really versatile amp with lots of options through voice switching and much more. If you are interested take a look at the detailed description provided by KRS on their website. The link is of found further down in this description.

As usual I do hope you enjoyed the video! Feel free to support Have Guitar by subscribing to the channel – it’s free for you and gives me the support I need. To all you who sub – Thanks, couldn’t do it without You!

V40 Deluxe Pack by Victory Amps (Kemper profiles demo)

V40 Deluxe Pack by Victory Amps (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Here a new Kemper Rig Showcase – welcome! So, Victory Amps got Rebea Massaad to make them some official Kemper profiles packs, that is a stroke of genius if you ask me. This is a typical example of creative thinking that will allow you to stay in business by adopting to the changes that will occur. I’m kinda surprised noone has cracked this idea before, but I guess someone has to be first!

So, I figured I’d do a mini series that will “air” on sundays here at Have Guitar and first out is the V40 Deluxe, an amp for the “feel players” as Victory puts it. Sure is no gain monster and it’s described as “expect classic American cleans through to pushed tweedy grit and on to driven British blues-rock” which I think is about right.

In the video I mention a bit about the dark character of the profiles. After this session I hooked up my Kemper to the Boss Katana and I must say that gave a different sound. So, that is not included here but will most likely be in the coming Victory videos!

Vintage Overdrive by Harley Benton (Thomann) Pedal Test

Vintage Overdrive by Harley Benton (Thomann) Pedal Test
Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar!

Wow, it’s been way too long since I did a Pedal Frenzy (review) here! So this feature is now back AND in a revamped presentation. I do think this format is better, as it’ll show you in real time exactly what I’m doing with the pedals settings… and yeah, it is a long video and you might or might not like that. I however got tired of some pedal videos where you hardly get to hear the pedal so I set this up with two very different guitars and three different “amps” (Kemper profiles!); Fender Bassman, Revv 120 & the mighty PRS Archon. And I’ve also included an index so you can jump around as you please. In the video that is but sure if you wanna jump around whilst watching this video, go ahead!

I’ve had my eyes on the Harley Benton Vintage Overdrive for quite some time now, actually I heard a lot of good talk about it, from other guitarists. Gotta say after I had a go with it, I was pleasantly pleased with its performance. It’s cheap, it’s green and it’s a Tube Screamer clone – also well built for that sake! In my ears this low budget stomp box sounded much better than one might expect and well… I guess you just have to watch the video to hear it for yourself.

Index –
