Quick Spawn Mini Pack by Live Ready Sound (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Here’s a rather fresh release from Live Ready Sound – the Quick Spawn Mini Pack that recreates the sound of a Splawn Quick Rod amplifier!

So the original amp features 100 watt, 2 channels (clean & overdrive), three different “gears” (Hot Rod Plexi, Hot Rod 800 & Super Hot Rod 800), solo boost and more. Check out the link to Splawn amplification below for more information.

The amp in general has a good rep online amongst guitarists and the sound of these profiles will not make you disappointed – unless you’re looking for clean tones. Gain is the keyword and that seems to be where this amp shines! It’s not really modern metal gain style but more classic hard rock / metal if I may say so. All in all you will get 30 studio profiles and 6 direct profiles in this pack, ready to rock your Kemper!

I included some riffs from Dokken and RAT in this video – check the the index at the bottom of this description for that. These profiles sure seems to fit right in that 80’s hair metal sound…

Thanks for watching Have Guitar and I do hope you’ll like it! If you wanna support me – subscribe, doesn’t cost ya a dime! And to you who do subscribe – Thank You! You’re the inspiration as Chicago put it so poetically.

Triple Crown by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Time for a dive into that never-ending stream of Kemper profile packs from ToneJunkie – the Triple Crown! So, this pack recreates the sound from a Mesa Boogie Triple Crown… what’s up with not changing the packs name to something like Fripple Clown by the way?

Mesa Boogie describes this amp as capable of “bubbly, sparkling clean sounds”, “amazingly tight and aggressive wall of Rock Crunch” and “our most vocal, harmonically rich and gain-laden high-gain channels ever”. Sounds good, eh? To make it really versatile you can also use the BIAS switch to change between different tubes in the amp.

ToneJunkie’s profile pack comes with profiles done with all three different tube settings; 6L6, EL34 and 6V6. And the result is described as “…the most versatile pack we have every created. American Cleans, Tweedy Mids, Tight Drive, Crunch and over the top saturation…” And I agree! This pack almost have it all and you will find some profiles that are more high gain than we’re used seeing from ToneJunkie. It is a great pack indeed!

Hope you like this demo! A subscription is welcome if you wanna support Have Guitar! A triple Thanks to You who already do!!

Founders Amp by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

With a mission to profiles every amp in the world, ToneJunkie keeps us buzy with new profile packs released in an almost alarming pace! So, this pack – the Founders Amp profile pack – was brand new when I recorded this video but by now they released a bunch more. This pack is recreating the sound from a PRS Paul’s amp head!

I have Googled around but I haven’t found that much info about the actual amp, but it is a pricey amp that seems to go for around $3000 (€2800). Judging from the profiles, it seems to be a versatile amp though and this pack holds up to ToneJunkies usual high standard. So, don’t expect metal tones but there are some nice high-gain profiles to be found.

In the pack you will get 21 studio profiles and 4 direct profiles, some of them boosted with either a Protein Drive or a Klone. All in all a good pack that I enjoyed demoing!

Thanks for watching Have Guitar! If you wanna support my little channel feel free to subscribe, share, like and comment! A very sincere Thanks to all you who do!

G&L ASAT Z3 – Unboxing video (Tele style electric guitar)

Unboxing by Have Guitar!

Unboxing video of a G&L ASAT Z3 (1998) in Candy Apple Red Flake equipped with Z-coil. Yeah, that’s those oddly shaped pickups – I had never seen them until I got interested in this guitar! Explained by G&L like Magnetic Field Design Z-Coil pickups designed by Leo Fender himself.

To further quote G&L Guitars webpage: “These pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end while offering a robust bottom end, all without any 60-cycle hum.” And yes, they are very quiet and you will hear that in the sound demo of this unboxing video. They are quite punchy and powerful but doesn’t work too well with the really high gain sound I have tried so far (just a few!). But they provide a very distinct sound, very clear and sweet!

So in this unboxing video I have cut down on the opening to get to point faster and as stated also provided some sound demos (close to clean and crunch). Unfortunately the guitar recieved a slight damage to the head during the transport – it’s been walsing around Europe for close to a month! – and tonight I got the word that UPS will come tomorrow to pick it up to verify this. I guess that is kinda good news but it still sucks to send away the guitar after waiting for it so long.

Well, that’s it. I hope there will be more of this G&L tele style guitar, I’m really looking forward to explore it further as it seems to have a lot to offer tonewise! Wanna see more my attics on Youtube? Subscribe! As always a grateful Thank You to all of you who do subscribe!
