Tony Iommi (TI) Boost by Laney Black Country Customs (pedal test)

Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar!

Here’s a pedal I have been looking forward to trying out, the Laney Black Country Customs TI Boost – where TI stand for Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath! So, this is a not a regular dist box but rather what is called a clean boost. It’s kinda a replica of what Iommi used in the early days of Sabbath but with some extra controls for gain, treble and base.

Just wanna say that I have used a slightly different approach in how I recorded this video… very much just improvising and noodling around as I try different settings on the pedal, I do hope it comes out OK. The editing of this video was cursed somehow… whatever could go wrong, went wrong! To a degree where I almost went ahead re-recorded it all over again. Just saying. Any comments – especially constructive critisim – is very welcome, I’m still experimenting on how to provide a nice overview of a pedal.

Anyways, I do hope you’ll like the video! And as in every video’s description I would like to say Thanks to you who subscribe, your support is awesome!

ToneCrate May 2019 – Jack Daniels & Scott Carstairs (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Well, this time I am not that late with the months pack from ToneCrate – so here’s the pack of May 2019! This time around there are two featured guitarists – Jack Daniels from War of Ages and Scott Carstairs from Fallujah. I am not that familiar with the bands but the pack contains more Kemper profiles and they are all good so thanks to ToneCrate and these guys for bringing this out to us!

The pack contains everything from clean to full out metal style profiles, quite well balanced I should say. I have tried to show that in this video and well, hope I succeeded in that. ToneCrate offers their packs as a subscription service but you can buy the packs one off at their website as well. Links to both ToneCrate and the guitarists bands are provided below, do check them out!

Thanks for watching Have Guitar, hope you liked the video! I’m very grateful for the subscriptions – thank you to each and everyone who supports my efforts by subscribing!!

Gibson SG Government Series 1 (Guitar review)

Guitar review by Have Guitar!

I must confess I am blessed by having a friend who’s as guitar crazy as I am… if not this (and several other videos) would not have happend! So, he went about and bought two Gibsons from the Government Series 1 and this is the first review where I take a close look at the Gibson SG Government Series 1. A big Thanks to Klas for letting me try out these guitars!

All the details about this SG is in the video – that is, all the details that I could find! There isn’t that much information available actually… and to be honest, I wasn’t even aware about the the Government models until my buddy bought these. They are kinda rare as each model was produced in only 300 units, perhaps even less for some of the them. All models in the Series 1 goes in gray/black and there is also a Series 2 that goes in tan/brown and black. Another funny details about the Government Series 1 is that the cases goes in green and black!

So, hope you’ll like this video – I certainly enjoyed recording it. Just gonna mention that this video is in 24 FPS instead of the usual 50 FPS. Sorry for that but it’s kinda annoying in the new video editing software that I’m using (Davinci Resolve) that stuff like that should be set before editing any media – once you’ve added the media it cannot be changed, so it was a miss from side. Thanks goes out to all my subscribers!!

March 2019 Dan Sugerman by ToneCrate (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

A new month and a new pack from ToneCrate – this time it’s Dan Sugarman (As Blood Runs Black) who is the featured signature artist. This pack contains a bunch of profiles tweaked by him and those are the profiles demoed in this video… of course! The style is quite varied with some of the profiles quite effects heavy. All in all some good tones are to be found here.

For those of you who are not familiar with the ToneCrate concept; it’s a subscription service where you get a new pack of Kemper profiles each month. Pretty much like for example the loot crates you can subscribe to but here you get profiles instead. Pretty fun and interesting and not too expensive so why not join in? I believe the concept of having a signature artist tweaking the sound is really great and a way to insure you will get a personal touch in each package.

Thanks for watching Have Guitar! and I do hope you liked the video! Feel free to subscribe to support my channel, that will be appreciated. For all subscribers – Thanks!!

V90 Mesa MK V by TMS Profiles + Giveaway! (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase and Giveaway by Have Guitar!

Time for another rig showcase and this time it’s the brand new profile pack from TMS Profiles – V90 Mesa MK V! Now this was a pleasure to try out, loads and loads of great sound profiles… and the pack is cheap too! And to add to that, if you watch this video you could have a chance of winning a copy of this profile pack for free! That’s right, TMS Profiles was so kind that they let me giveaway 5 copies of this pack! Ain’t that grand?! So the instructions of getting into the giveaway comes at the end of video.

DEADLINE for this giveaway: 21st of March 2019, 23:59!
(The Winners will be presented in a video a couple of days after the DL!)

The V90 MK V pack comes loaded with 99 merged profiles for your Kemper profiling amp – some of them has effects included from the start and do believe all of them has inactivated effects included. A tip, that I also mention in the video, is to lower the Noise Gate – seems ALL the profiles has quite a high setting and lowering the NG helps to make the tone feel a bit more dynamic in my opinion.

So that is it, I do hope you like the video AND the giveaway – once again thanks to TMS profiles for being so generous!! Also, feel free to sunscribe to Have Guitar to support my channel, it will be much appreciated. And as always to all you subscribing – thanks for Your support!

High End Fizz – rid it!

High End Fizz – rid it!
A video by Have Guitar

Here’s a little something that I for some reson don’t do too often in my videos – shaping the sound with the equalizer of the Kemper. But I do know a lot people writing about having problems with high gain and “fizz”, a disturbing bi-sound that makes your tones a lot less appealing than it could be. The fizz is often (perhaps even always!) located in the higher frequencies of the EQ-scale and it’s doesn’t really take magic to get rid of it.

So I thought a small video on this topic could be in place and this it. If you wanna skip to a particualr section here’s a (very small) index:

02:39 – Friedman BE100 with a Gibson Explorer Tribute 2019
06:42 – Victory Kraken with a Gibson SG Standard HP 2016

And that’s it! Hope you liked the video and had some use of it… feel free to support my channel with a subscription! To all you who already do so – Thanks!!!

This is the Fireman Pack from SinMix – 91 fine profiles for your Kemper. Most of them are studio profiles (78!) and then there are some direct profiles and one (!) merged profile. So that is what I’m gonna demo in this Rig Showcase!

These profiles recreates the sound from a Friedman BE-100 amplifier (see the link below), a hand-wired 100 watt amp that should and could do anything from blues to metal. As said in the video there’s a bunch of Kemper profile packs based on this amp – have a look at my Rig Showcase-playlists and you’ll find a bunch of demo’s from other profilers.

Thanks for watching my videos – feel free to gimme some support by a subscription! A Big Thanks goes out to all you who already subscribes!

Top Cap Club Loyale by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Welcome to what could be the first Rig Showcase from Have Guitar in 2019! (Not sure about the release order as I’m writing this…). So this is the Top Cap Club Royale from ToneJunkie – 30 studio and 6 direct profiles for your Kemper Profiling Amp – recreating the sound of a Top Hat Club Royale amp. What’s that? Well, I don’t know about you but I sure didn’t know anything about this amp before I tried out this pack. Gotta give the hat off to ToneJunkie for being able to pull out stuff like this from their magic hat! (Alright, enough hat jokes for now!!)

The amp is a 20 watt combo that comes as 1×12 or 2×12 and if you want more info there’s a link further down to Top Hat Amps webpage. This amp has it’s character and sound pretty good if ask me but the range would be from clean to classic rockand no further. As always it’s great to try out an amp I will probably never even be close to even if it’s in the profile shape. Hats off to ToneJunkie for that! (Oops, sorry… no more hat jokes from. Promise!)

And that’s about it! Hope you enjoy the video and feel free to push that subscribe button to give some much appreciated support to me and my channel! A big, fat Thanks to all you who subscribe, couldn’t keep it up without you!

V30 The Countess MKii by Victory Amps / Rabea Massaad (Kemper profiles demo)

V30 The Countess MKii by Victory Amps / Rabea Massaad (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Time for the second part of this “mini series” of he Rig Showcase where I demo the official Kemper profile pack from Victory amps! It is time to have a listen to the Victory V30 The countess MKii! As I have said before I bow to Victory amps for this initiative and that they brought in Rabea Massaad – that’ll surely attract attention from players who like his style.

So, the V30 The Countess was developed with Guthrie Govan has some special feature that the original V30 did not have. Most of those are irrelevant when you are running the Kemper profile but if you want more info see the links below. Once again, these profiles are really nothing close to metal so if you’re looking for that – search elsewhere. Still the profiles has gain enough and a smooth nice character – for me most of them needed some extra tweaking to suit my preferences.

As always, thanks for watching Have Guitar – a loud shoutout to all you who support me by subscribing, Thanks!! If you don’t – feel free to support me by a sub, together we stand strong… right?

JM Overdrive 100 by Tone Junkie (Kemper profiles demo)

JM Overdrive 100 by Tone Junkie (Kemper profiles demo)
Kemper Rig Showcase from Have Guitar!

A new Kemper profile pack from Tone Junkie – JM Overdrive 100 – and yes, that is the expensive PRS JMOD 100 John Mayer signature amp! Well, with profiles from a rare amp like that, this was a profile pack I just had to try out. And while I will never ever afford to buy one of those amplifiers, I can now stand proud and say “I tried them profiles from Tone Junkie… and they were good”.

So the JMOD 100 is not a higain dragon but of course it has some sounds that are driven enough. The original amp is hand-built, single channel with a switchable gain stage and an effects loop. This amplifier packs 100 watts and comes equipped with 6L6 power tubes. The profiles of course reflects the sound quality of this unique amp, they are very organic and at the same time delivers a tight punch. Listen to Have Guitars video and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I do hope that you liked this video and if you do – pretty please subscribe to my channel, to support me. More Sub’s open up the possibilities for more varied videos on Have Guitar! To each and every one already subscribing – Thank You, the support is very much appreciated!
