Line 6 Helix Native – All the presets (4 of … 5!)

Here’s a crazy (bonus!) video series where Have Guitar demo’s ALL the Factory1 presets from in Line 6’s new VST plugin, Helix Native. This is part four of four, containing presets 97 – 128 of Helix Natives Factory1 presets.

So… a correction needs to be done. First I thought there was 32 presets, “Makes a nice video” was my first thought. Then I realized it was 32 x 4 = 128 presets. Pfew… but I’ll make that happend anyways. And then – I noticed there was another folder – Factory2 – with 128 more preset. 256 presets all in all. And that I discovered two days before the trial version runs out!! So I had to compromise, there will be a fifth video with 32 demos from Factory2. Sorry but that’s the best I could come up with due to the time limit.

So a software version of the Line Helix? Yeah, isn’t that great! What if we could have at least a sound editor like this for the Kemper? Dream on… but meanwhile you can have listen to the Helix at least. And if you like what you hear you can try it out too! Just download it and register at Line 6 and you’ll get a 15-day-trial with the Helix Native.

Hope you liked the video! If so please support Have Guitars effort to bring fun guitar-related videos to quaff boredom by subscribing to the channel. A big thanks as always to all of you already subscribing!

Kemper Rig Showcase: ReampZones Orange AD140

One year and one day since the first Kemper Rig Showcase appeared at Have Guitar! – let’s throw in a bonus Sunday video on that! This is ReampZone’s Orange AD140 – a very capable rig pack that covers what you need from clean to crunch sounds. It’s more in the style of rock, blues and similar and to add to that it’s modded as well, making it more unique than anything else…

The AD140 is no longer in stock, I think they stopped the production in 2006 (correct me if I’m wrong!) so if you want a beast like this you need to search for a used one. Or you could get a Kemper Profiling Amp and buy this pack.

Kemper Jubilee Rig Showcase: Top 5 profile packs from the last year!

Have Guitar is honored to give you the One Year Jubilee Kemper Rig Showcase – I can’t belive a whole year has passed since the first Kemper Rig Showcase was published here at Have Guitar!

Short history of Have Guitar!:
In 2007 I noticed the increasing trend of Youtube and as I’ve always been fascinated by any terms of expressing your self through video I felt I wanted to start something too. Took until early 2009 before I actually did start the channel and uploaded my first video (Greco vs Gibson) but at that time I didn’t really have access to what it took to make a good video. Still content is king so that video took off with a quite impressive amount of views.

So job, small kids and other stuff took its toll and I didn’t have much time for making videos… FF to spring 2016, I had moved to a place where I could have a studio and I wanted to get back on track with playing the guitar again, something I hadn’t really been doing much for a way too long time. Then I bought my Gibson SG on a sale and that somehow made me think about the Youtube channel again – Have Guitar! was restarted even if the videos wasn’t exactly pouring out.

So sitting around with lots of profiles packs for my Kemper I thought to myself, that could be the starting base for the channel and then the 9th of September 2016 I published the first Kemper Rig Showcase, ReampZones Hughes & Kettner Triology. Still was a bit randomness to when I published videos for a few months and I think it was around January 2017 that I decided to go for the “a new video every thursday” concept.

So far, so good – been able to keep that up for nine months now – I have learnt a lot during these months and I’m pretty sure I will learn a whole lot more as time flies past. And I must say I succeeded in what my main motivation was – to inspire myself to play more guitar (after that too long break) and the cherry on the cake is that people have been watching the videos and given positive feedback and subscribed to my channel!

So with this video I just wanna say thanks for the likes, comments, views and subscribtions! Here you will get the Top 5 profile packs that has been showcased at Have Guitar for the past year. They are shown in no particular order so number one isn’t higher rated than number five, it’s just my favourite five rig packs tested out in my videos.

And HEY! If don’t wanna spoil which profilers are featured in the video you shouldn’t read any further until you have watched the video… because there’s links to their websites a bit down here so stop reading now and watch the video! 🙂

Thanks for all the support, I hope you will like this video and there’s more to come! As always, if you don’t subscribe please do so to support Have Guitar! – every individual counts and you will have my eternal gratitude, something that all of you who already do subscribe already have – Thanks! 🙂

Kemper Rig Showcase: ReampZones Marshall JCM900 MKIII 2100

Have Guitar is stoked to present a new Kemper Rig Showcase – ReampZones Marshall JCM900 MKIII 2100! Sure sounds like a Marshall to me and I mean that in a good way!

The first Marshall JCM900 was released early 1990, designed for higher gain and less noise. When Guitar World tested the new Marshall amps they concluded it as “Marshall has once again successfully reinvented itself”. Me personally think ReampZone has done a good job indeed capturing that Marshall vibe in these profiles, from the powerful clean tone to the screamin’ high gain notes. Watch the video for a cut of you’ll get!

Hope you like this Rig Showcase from Have Guitar! and if you please do subscribe to the channel to give me some support! The goal is to release a new video every Thursday and when there’s time more than that… because playing guitar is fun! Thanks for watching my videos and a very big Thank You to all of you who are subscribing!!

Music Tip: Slow Season – Sixty-Eight

I gotta share this band – Slow Season, heard this track on Spotify and well, if you like 70’s retrostyle classic rock this is really good. Of course there’s the obvious Led Zeppelin reference floating around but hey, that’s not a bad reference right? Hope you’ll like them too.

Gibson USA 2018 Les Pauls

Not sure what you think but I’d say the Gibson 2018 lineup of models looks preetty sweet! And not only the Les Pauls… there’s nice Firebirds and Explorers as well.

The model I’m most interested in is the Gibson Les Paul Classic Ebony, with P90 pickups. I need a new Les Paul and I want P90s… how convinient isn’t that? I hope to be able to showcase one of those at Have Guitar! as soon as possible.

Here’s a showcase of some of those beautiful 2018 Les Pauls from Gibson on cortesey from Musician’s Friend !

Pedal Frenzy: BOSS PS-3 Digital Pitch Shifter / Delay

Have Guitar proudly presents a new feature on this channel – Pedal Frenzy! Stomp of the Month!

Yep, that right. I’m gonna try to present a demo video with a stomp box at least once a month from now on. I have featured effects pedals before so this is a continued effort but more structured if you like…

First out is the Boss PS-3 Digital Delay / Pitch Shifter. Not a new pedal, rather even a vintage one as I’ve had it since at least the early 90’s. So take a look, a listen to this demo to see how it sounds and how it stands up to modern effects. The Boss PS-3 is still for sale in used condition every here and there so I am pretty sure people are still using it!

Index:
05:04 – Mode 1 Delay 32-125 ms
07:49 – Mode 2 Delay 125-500 ms
12:43 – Mode 3 Delay 500-2000 ms
14:12 – Mode 4 Single Pitch Shifter: Detune
16:09 – Mode 5 & 6 Single Pitch Shifter: +/- 2 octaves (Fast & Slow)
18:59 – Mode 7 Single Pitch Shifter: +/- 2 octaves (Inverse)
20:41 – Mode 8 Dual Pitch Shifter: Detune & Detune
22:09 – Mode 9 Dual Pitch Shifter: Detune & +/- 2 octaves
23:01 – End/Conclusion

I hope you liked this video, please do subscribe to Have Guitar to give my channel a little support. It’s all free of course and just takes a click on the sub-button… As always – a very Big thanks to all of you already subscribing!
