Pee Ar Es Archton 100 by Deadlight Studios (Kemper profiles demo)

With that name it might not be totally obvious that this profile pack recreates the sound from a PRS Archon 100 for your Kemper Profiling Amp. Or maybe it’s just me being silly… anyways, this Have Guitar’s demo of this fine pack from Deadlight Studio!

So this Kemper profile pack isn’t that biggest but that doesn’t necessary mean a bad thing, you still get a nice round-up of sounds – from clean to dripping gain. 20 Merged profiles, according to Deadlight Studio a “pretty dark amp” but I don’t know if I would say that about the profiles. (Hint: I wouldn’t say that about these profiles!) More information in the video and of course in the link to Deadlight Studio provided below.

Revalver 4 by Peavey – First impression/Demo/Review

Time to have a look at another “guitar software” – Revalver 4 from Peavey. Now this has been out for a long time, at least since 2014 from what I can tell. Still worth it? Could be.

So, Revalver 4 features most of what you should expect from a modern software for guitarists; you have a multitude of amp sim’s, pedals, rack units and cabs to choose from and add to that, they are highly customizable. You can combine amps with cabs, choose what microphone to use and the placing of that mic and there is also the possibility to add 3rd party VST plugins via a hosting component.

Revalver 4 is available for both Windows and Mac, it can be run both as a VST plugin or standalone. If you wanna buy it; the fully fledged Peavey Revalver 4 producer pack comes at 99.99 USD or you could buy an update from Revalver 3 for 49.99 USD. There’s an option to buy more amps, pedals etc if you fancy that, personally I would rather have seen that included or added as free updates but that is my personal opinion…

68 Purple Plexi by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

So, here it is – ToneJunies “mystery amp” – a Marshall Purple Plexi from 1968! Those plexi’s are rare and costly… I have seen prices starting at around 6000 USD and going up to 25K!!! So, I don’t know what ToneJunkie paid but I suppose they had to shell out an impressive amount of green ones to aquire this one!

This is also (as far as I know) the largest pack from ToneJunkie with over 100 Kemper profiles included in the pack, both studio and directs. From clean to hard driven, all very organic in sound and a dynamic feeling provided through careful profiling.

The amp is profiled with different signal chains comprised of 1966, 1968, and 1969 Celestion Speaker models and vintage Amprex, Tungram, Mullard Tubes. If it’s plexi you need it is plexi you get with this awesome profile pack! To spice things up I have used ToneCity’s pedals Sweet Cream and Wild Fire to add some extra energy here and there.

Thanks for watching Have Guitar, hope you liked the demo! If you wanna support me, feel free to subscribe to the channel! To all old and new subscribers – thank you very much for the support!!!

TH-U by Overloud – Demo/Review

Time for a review and demo of Overloud TH-U! TH-U is a software that holds almost everything a guitarist (and a bassist) could ask for – amplifiers (authorized models of real amps as well), cabinets, up to 4 out of 18 different microphones on the cab’s, effects, possibility to tweak the amps in high detail, rig player (kemper-like!) and more! It’s available for both Apple and Windows user, works on many different DAW:s and can also be run as a standalone software!

Pfew, that is a lot! But does it play well? That is the question that I am trying to work out in this review/demo video. It’s a looong video so I have included an index, see further down this description. And still I could have made it longer as there are some features I haven’t included like the built-in looper, the Amp Tweak technology and more. This is more like an overview where I really more concentrate on how it sounds with plenty of sound demos thrown in.

65 Twin Verb by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar!

Here’s a nice pack from ToneJunkie – the 65 Twin Verb Kemper profile pack! The pack recreates the sound from a Fender 1965 Twin Reverb, known for its huge, full, warm and bright cleans. You get 40 Studio and 17 Direct profiles for your Kemper in this pack.

As always ToneJunkie provides dynamic and varied profiles and this pack makes no difference in that. Just don’t expect any high gain bonanza because that is just not what ToneJunkie is about!

Thanks for watch and hope you liked the video. If you wanna support me – subscribe! A very Big Thanks to all you who do!!
