Curious about the new Kemper Profiler Stage unit? Well, I have collected five of the best videos showing this new hardware from Kemper in detail, prepare to spend some time infront of your screen if you wanna watch it all!
Room Service by KISS (Guitar and Bass lesson)
Guitar & Bass lesson by Have Guitar
A new guitar and bass lesson – Room Service by KISS! This the first song of KISS album Dressed To Kill, a nice high tempo rocker about the life on the road. In this lesson I will show you how to play it all; rhythm guitar, lead guitar and bass!
For the first time I created tabulature for the lessons! I’m pretty sure there might be some minor mistakes as it’s the first time I do this, there’s room for improvement! Anyways, I hope it makes following the lesson a little easier.
As previously stated I will try to do one classic KISS song every month nad I think this is the third month in a row that I manage to keep that promise! What will be up next in August? Not sure yet so feel free to gimme some suggestions!
There we go – I hope you liked the video, thanks for watching Have Guitar! A subscription is always welcome… as if I need to say that? A Big Thanks to all you who do subscribe!!!
There’s an index to this video on Youtube!

OK, so this is the full recording of my version of KISS – Room Service from the album Dressed To Kill. A full video lesson will be posted soon, containing lessons for rhythm guitar, lead guitar and bass!
This was originally recorded almost 10 years ago but I have redone all guitars and bass. The song was a bitch to mix as the drums comes from a single stereofile… tried making it sound like a classic rock recording, not sure if I succeeded though!
So as said, all guitars and bass by me! All vocals by Valle Pecovnic. Drums by Magnus Jägbring. Thanks for the help guys, sorry for the long delay in finishing this song! 😀
And thanks to you who are watching, I hope you like my/our take of Room Service. Nothing beats the original song and that was not the intention of this recording either… just wanna make that clear!
If you wanna support Have Guitar – subscribe to the channel! A big thanks goes out to all you who already do so!
More info:
All guitars & bass recorded through a Kemper Profiling Amp. For the guitars I used ReampZones Marshall JMP Super Lead 1976-pack. The bass profile comes from Rig Exchange – Rickish Bass. Recorded and mixed in Reaper FM.

Let’s continue the swim through the red zone… which is the distortion effects color in the Kemper Profiling Amp. This is the second video where I go through and demo these effects, so it just continues from the first part which included the Green Scream (Tube Screamer), Plus DS (MXR Distortion+), One DS (BOSS DS-1), Muffin (EHX Big Muff) and Mouse (ProCo RAT).
In part we’ll have a look at Fuzz DS (Dunlop Fuzz Face) and Metal DS (BOSS Metal Zone). And then some examples of stacking the distortion effects, as in using more than one of these effects at the same time.
So you can of course add a drive stomp to add gain but you can also keep the drive to zero just using the effect to color your sound and add that little extra boost that might be needed. You can place them before or after the amp which will drastically change how the drive affects your tone. And you can stack two or more drives if that’s what you need. In this video I’ll demo the Fuzz DS and Metal DS plus some stacking (using more than one drive) examples. In Part 1 I have gone through the first five drive effects; Green Scream, Plus DS, One DS, Muffin and the Mouse. There will be a part 3, where I go through the Shapers and Boost effects.
Sorry but I do not own the original pedals, would love to make a comparative video but that just isn’t possible right now. Maybe one day…
Index:
00:40 – Fuzz DS (Fuzz Face)
04:53 – Metal DS (Metal Zone)
13:38 – A little talk about stacking drive stomps
14:14 – Muffin + Metal DS
21:53 – One DS + Fuzz DS
25:24 – End words…
And that’s it! Hope you liked the video – comments and likes are welcome but of course a subscription beats them both! And a Very Big Thank You to y’all who subscribes!!

A new Rig Showcase and this time it’s time for Pete’s Profiles Fuchs ODS SLX! This is a fairly big pack with 60 Kemper profiles that recreates the sound from a Fuchs ODS SLX Concert 75. About the amp itself I don’t know much but the profiles sure sound good. The range from crisp breaking up to almost fat fuzz style tones. No lack of variation here!
Seems to me the Fuchs amps are considered ’boutique’ – which most likely means they are handmade and quite expensive. So what, isn’t the perfect tone worth it? Yes, it is. Anyways, this pack give you an opportunity to try out an amp that you not even see at your local music store and that is a great thing. Well, you know, might not be the real deal but as close as it currently gets.
Thanks for watching Have Guitar – hope you like this demo! A subscription to the channel will be most appreciated. To you who subscribe – Thank You!!!

In this video we’ll dive into the Red Zone of the Kemper’s effects; the distortion stomps. There are seven different stomps to choose from, all based on some classic stomps that I guess most guitarists are aware of… These effects brings out a variety of distortion effects that you can apply to any given profile to spice up your tone.
So you can of course add a drive stomp to add gain but you can also keep the drive to zero just using the effect to color your sound and add that little extra boost that might be needed. You can place them before or after the amp which will drastically change how the drive affects your tone. And you can stack two or more drives if that’s what you need. In this video I will go through the first five drive effects (Green Scream, Plus DS, One DS, Muffin and the Mouse) – part 2 will contain the remaining two (Fuzz DS and Metal DS) plus some stacking examples. The shaper and boost effects will be covered in a part 3 video of this series.
