Sovtek Tube Midget 50H by Gold Lion Studios (Kemper profiles demo)

Sovtek Tube Midget 50H by Gold Lion Studios (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

It’s another Rig Showcase and this one is something I have been looking forward to do: Gold Lion Studios Sovtek Tube Midget 50H Ultimate Pack! Eventhough I have never owned one or even played one I’ve had a thing for the Sovtek amps. Don’t ask me why, but they have always seemed to be very cool in some way. Just the fact that they’re made in Russia makes them kinda unique…

So, if I have understood this correctly this model loosely based on a Marshall JCM800 and that it has a lot more gain than the other Sovtek 50 watter. All picked up from Google so don’t take my word for it. But this is a nice pack with its own character, if you like it get it!

And thanks for watching Have Guitar! Feel free to hit that subscribe button to support me… For all my subscribers I can only say Thank You!!

Backing track by Have Guitar (Style: Hard rock/metal)

Wow, it has been a loooong time since I released a new backing track! So, here’s a new one – Big Thrills, in the style of 80’s metal. At least that is what I think it sounds like, if you have another opinion feel free to leave a comment!

There isn’t really that much to say about this track – it’s in the key of A (BPM: 130) and you can just solo over it with the penta. It’s not that tricky! I decided not to do a commented extra video for this one… just play and have fun! If you wanna use this backing track for your own videos go ahead. I’d appreciate if you leave a comment where you got it from – Have Guitar!

Fireman Pack by SinMix (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

This is the Fireman Pack from SinMix – 91 fine profiles for your Kemper. Most of them are studio profiles (78!) and then there are some direct profiles and one (!) merged profile. So that is what I’m gonna demo in this Rig Showcase!

These profiles recreates the sound from a Friedman BE-100 amplifier (see the link below), a hand-wired 100 watt amp that should and could do anything from blues to metal. As said in the video there’s a bunch of Kemper profile packs based on this amp – have a look at my Rig Showcase-playlists and you’ll find a bunch of demo’s from other profilers.

Thanks for watching my videos – feel free to gimme some support by a subscription! A Big Thanks goes out to all you who already subscribes!

New Reverbs for the Kemper Profiling Amp (5.7.0.14092 Public Beta)

New Reverbs for the Kemper Profiling Amp (Kemper profiles demo)
Showcase by Have Guitar

Finally here – the new reverbs for the Kemper Profiling Amps! What kinda Kemperist would I be if I didn’t make a video of this?! So the old Reverbs goes into a new cathegory called Legacy Reverbs while we in return get some new one: Echo Reverb, Natural Reverb, Easy Reverb, Spring Reverb and Cirrus Reverb. All of them with their own characteristics. There is also one more called “Space” – according to the updated manual: “The Space effect is identical to the global version of Space in the Output Section. It produces the natural reflections of a small, neutral-sounding room.” Just didn’t make much of a difference to the sound in my ears so I decided to leave that out.

All in all this is great addon to the KPA – to get to keep the old Reverb possibilities and get a bunch of new one for free! Thank you, Kemper! So if you wanna hear anything specific – check out the index below. Appologies for the somewhat fuzzy close-ups of the KPA display – I will experiment some with the new action cam to see if I can improve on that. It takes baby steps to get better…

Index:
01:46 – Spring Reverb
03:44 – Natural Reverb
05:18 – Easy Reverb
07:09 – Echo Reverb
08:15 – Cirrus Reverb
10:14 – Conclusional ramblings

Fulltone OCD Overdrive (Stomp pedal test)

Fulltone OCD Overdrive (Stomp pedal test)
Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar

It’s time to take a closer look at the Fulltone OCD, is there any guitarist that haven’t heard about this pedal? It should “replicates the dynamics and harmonics of a fully-wound tube amplifier with its typical output stage distortion” and I’ve seen it described both as an overdrive and a distortion effect. I guess it has the characteristics of both.

I guess the Fulltone OCD doesn’t need any closer introduction, it’s a classic pedal and for more info check out the link to Fulltone’s webpage provided below. I’ll add a link to a fantastic video from ToneJunkie that compares all the different versions of the OCD, go see it – it’s really worth the time watching it.

Hope you liked this video – feel free to give me some support by subscribing! And you know what comes next… that’s right, a Fat Big Thanks to all you who do sub!!

ToneCrate January 2019 (Kemper profiles demo)

ToneCrate January 2019 (Kemper profiles demo)
Pedal Frenzy by Have Guitar

Time for another Rig Showcase and now it’s to take a closer listen to ToneCrate’s January 2019 Kemper profile pack! This time around they have work together with Justin aufdemkampe (Miss May I) to create some fat and juciy tones for your pleasure…

ToneCrate has a subscription service that works pretty much like those lootcrate’s where you get different stuff sent home every month, but with ToneCrate you’ll get a bunch of Kemper profiles. These profiles are created in co-op with an artist and it’s not too expensive and quite fun and interesting to try out. For more info about ToneCrate follow the link provided below. If you don’t want to subscribe you can buy separate packs as well.

This pack has 10 profiles for your Kemper from some different amps and well, it is on the heavier side of things. Take a look and a listen, sure sounds good to me!

Thanks for watching my channel and if you wanna support me – please do subscribe to Have Guitar! Likes and comments are also appreciated. For you who do subscribe – Thank You!!!

Top Cap Club Loyale by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)

Top Cap Club Loyale by ToneJunkie (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Welcome to what could be the first Rig Showcase from Have Guitar in 2019! (Not sure about the release order as I’m writing this…). So this is the Top Cap Club Royale from ToneJunkie – 30 studio and 6 direct profiles for your Kemper Profiling Amp – recreating the sound of a Top Hat Club Royale amp. What’s that? Well, I don’t know about you but I sure didn’t know anything about this amp before I tried out this pack. Gotta give the hat off to ToneJunkie for being able to pull out stuff like this from their magic hat! (Alright, enough hat jokes for now!!)

The amp is a 20 watt combo that comes as 1×12 or 2×12 and if you want more info there’s a link further down to Top Hat Amps webpage. This amp has it’s character and sound pretty good if ask me but the range would be from clean to classic rockand no further. As always it’s great to try out an amp I will probably never even be close to even if it’s in the profile shape. Hats off to ToneJunkie for that! (Oops, sorry… no more hat jokes from. Promise!)

And that’s about it! Hope you enjoy the video and feel free to push that subscribe button to give some much appreciated support to me and my channel! A big, fat Thanks to all you who subscribe, couldn’t keep it up without you!

Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Here’s a “bonus” Rig Showcase – ReampZone new Kemper profile pack PRS Mark Tremonti MT15. It’s a small lunchbox amp and it’s packed with power, judging from these profiles! The amp is designed for heavier players and you sure can tell but of course it can do less heavy as well.

This pack was updated during the recording of this video it now comes with 18 Direct, 4 Merged and 35 Studio profiles! The profiles has been created with the following cabs: Mesa Boogie, Framus, David Laboga, Orange and ReampZones special MAGICAB blend with MD421 and SM57 microphones. They have also been boosted with some nice drives – Fortin 33, Fortin Grind, MXR Wylde OD, Boss SD1, EHX LPB1 and a Klon Centaur. Many of the profiles comes with effects already included but with a Kemper you know you have a plethora of pedals available if you wanna add some effects of your personal taste.

Piwi Perspective by Deadlight Studios (Kemper profiles demo)
Rig Showcase by Have Guitar

Here’s a rig showcase for those of you who fancy an amp that’s made for metal – it’s Deadlight Studios (former Tonehammer) PIWI Perspective! Behind that acronym hides Peavey’s Invective 120 – as Peavey themselves puts it “helping players achieve the most revered metal sounds, from woody and clean to the most extreme of high gain tones”.

I’d say you don’t have to play metal to enjoy these sweet tones / profiles but the power is right there if you need it. This pack is in my ears very well profiled by Deadlight Studios, it was a joy to play through it while I did this video! So from my side it’s both thumbs up!! If you want more info on the amp see the links below as well as a link to the profile pack at Deadlight Studios. Go get it now, if you like what you hear!
