Shock Me by KISS (Guitar Lesson)

Shock Me by KISS (Guitar Lesson)
Let’s Play by Have Guitar!

Here’s a lesson on how to play the song “Shock Me” from KISS’ album Love Gun, released 1977. It’s a great song, not very complicated but since when has that been a prerequisite for good song? 🙂 The song was inspired by an accident that happened on stage 1976, Ace got electrocuted and the rest is Kisstory as they say.

The tuning on the song is a half step down, so when you see me taking an A chord, it’s actually in G sharp and so on. The rhythm parts are like they play on the record whilst the solo is close to but not perfectly like on the album. Like I say in the video, it’s not like Ace always played it live exactly like on the album either. So, if you wanna do it exactly like on the album this could be a good start but you’ll need to polish some details to get it “perfect”.

All guitars recorded with a Kemper Profiling Amp, the profiles comes from Live Ready Sound’s Plexed for Kemper pack, see link further down.
