Pedal Frenzy: BOSS PS-3 Digital Pitch Shifter / Delay

Have Guitar proudly presents a new feature on this channel – Pedal Frenzy! Stomp of the Month!

Yep, that right. I’m gonna try to present a demo video with a stomp box at least once a month from now on. I have featured effects pedals before so this is a continued effort but more structured if you like…

First out is the Boss PS-3 Digital Delay / Pitch Shifter. Not a new pedal, rather even a vintage one as I’ve had it since at least the early 90’s. So take a look, a listen to this demo to see how it sounds and how it stands up to modern effects. The Boss PS-3 is still for sale in used condition every here and there so I am pretty sure people are still using it!

Index:
05:04 – Mode 1 Delay 32-125 ms
07:49 – Mode 2 Delay 125-500 ms
12:43 – Mode 3 Delay 500-2000 ms

Live Ready Sounds A Typ 2×12 Speaker Cabinet Impulse Response Set

Have Guitar tests out impulse response files for the Kemper Profiling Amp. This is the first time I have explored the possibilities of replacing the cab of a Kemper profile with a 3rd party impulse response file. It’s close to reamping as the cab really affects the sound you will get out, giving you a plethora of options that you can apply and change after the guitar is recorded.

In this video I’m testing Live Ready Sounds A typ 2×12 Speaker Cabinet Impulse Response Set, applying these IR:s on profiles from Live Ready Sounds (Triple Rectified EL34 profile pack). You will get sound examples from clean, crunch and high gain sounds, all lined/recorded directly into Reaper for the best audio quality.

Unboxing… something for a Telecaster

Yet another unboxing video! It’s not something big and I won’t reveal here exactly what it is… I mean, the point of an unboxing video is the excitement of seeing what in the box (or bag in this case), right? All I’ll state here is that it’s something for a Telecaster and I bought it from Wish. Now go. Watch. The video.

Well, if you like this video please do subscribe to Have Guitar! At least one new video out every thursday and sometimes more… trying to do interesting and funny vid’s for guitar/music lovers. Your support counts!

Guitar Backing Track #8 in B – Slow Blues 80 BPM

Have Guitar is happy to give you another backing track for guitar solo practise. This one is clearly inspired by Led Zeppelin but not a straight off clone. It’s slow moving in 80 BPM, kinda heavy and veeeery groovy, baby. Did I mention its blues? No? Well it is but not trad blues.

All guitars & base played by Magnus Cassersjö. Addictive Drums 2 arranged by Magnus Cassersjö. Keyboard by Christer Sundh. Recorded and mixed in Reaper.

I hope you liked this video/backing track, please do subscribe to Have Guitar to give my little channel Some support. It’s all free of course and just takes a click on the sub-button… As always – a very Big thanks to all of you already subscribing!

This backing track is available with or without commentary, see the videos linked below the text.

ReampZones Marshall 2555 Silver Jubilee (used in the example solo)

Video tip: Billy Gibbons meets Les Paul

Well, I thought this is a video too cool not to share! Billy Gibbons is one of my favourite guitarists, especially on those classic ZZ Top albums from the 70’s. And Les Paul, well he is a legend. If you haven’t read about Les Paul you should, he was a genius. Would have loved seeing Billy rip it up with some classic ZZ Top tune but it’s still something worth seeing…
